SAHODAYA SCHOOL MEET COLLABORATIVE LEARNING SESSION. PREPARATORY STAGE Language: English Date: August 08,2026 Venue: ANAND NIKETAN, MEHSANA CAMPUS Number of Schools Participated :8 Total Participants:14 Key Takeaways: A transformative capacity-building session was convened at Anand Niketan School, Mehsana, under the aegis of the Sahodaya Schools. Uniting fourteen visionary academic leaders from schools, the session served as a dynamic crucible for cross-institutional synergy, best-practice sharing, and pedagogical innovation aimed at elevating holistic student development. Each participant shared their experiences through deliberations and also shared the methodology of the imperative transition from restrictive ‘teaching to the test’ models toward Continuous Evaluation (CCE). Attendees critically analyzed various pivotal dimensions of reforms, emphasizing contextualized classroom instruction, modernized evaluation frameworks, and the strategic integration of technology into learner assessments. The discourse underscored that authentic assessment for learning must be objective, multifaceted, and reflective of a student’s complete growth trajectory. One of the key points of the session was the difficulties faced by the teachers due to Language Barriers & Mother Tongue Influence. Students often transfer the phonetics, grammar, and syntax of their native language into English, causing recurring errors in pronunciation, spelling, and sentence construction. Short Attention Spans: Children in the preparatory stage naturally have limited focus and attention. Strategies such as Peer reading, News Paper reading etc., are discussed. Another concern which was addressed by the participants is Transition from Oral to Written English: Bridging the gap between spoken conversation and reading/writing(phonemic awareness, handwriting, syntax) and specialized strategies to meet those difficulties were also addressed. Hosted seamlessly by Anand Niketan School, this high-impact dialogue reinforced the regional cluster’s commitment to empowering educators, refining assessment paradigms, and nurturing resilient, future-ready learners
